Description

The S Series CNC machines are engineered and built for production applications requiring the fixed bridge performance of our popular Super Duty Series, but which are better served by the table moving long-ways under the bridge. This makes our S Series CNC router the alternative configuration, sharing almost all of the major components: control, spindle, electronics, mechanical linear motion systems, tool changer, and even many of the available options. Thus, they are both very comparably priced, and offer very similar performance and value. What differentiates the S-Series from its Super Duty Series sibling is not in its parts or components, but the table configuration. The S Series design moves a single table in the longer direction, therefore the bridge need only span the shorter dimension across the width of the table which produces greater rigidity for improved accuracy. More floor space is required, however, in order to facilitate materials handling, which provides the advantage of increased operator access to all sides of the table for some applications and products. Unobstructed table access makes loading and unloading of large work–pieces or tooling more convenient, thus allowing for the easy integration of material handling systems, transfer tables, and other automation alternatives. The S Series CNC router from C.R. Onsrud is a reliable fixed bridge workhorse with applications inherent to its well-thought-out design. 4-Pole, reversible, 24,000 RPM High Torque Spindle HSK-63F Spindle Taper and Tool Holders, with 1 inch (25mm) collet capacity Over 14 Inches of Z-Axis Clearance & 11 inches of Z-Axis stroke
