Concentrated force and accuracy on large dimensions to obtain the maximum performance in roughing, semi-finishing and finishing of workpieces in tough materials, steel, or lightweight alloy.
Available also in a milling and turning version (Flymill MT) that combines the functions of a vertical lathe with those of a 5 continuous axis milling machine, extending the range of possible applications with a single setup.
Power and torque meet the maximum precision
The major benefit is having multiple production capabilities in a single solution: roughing, semi-finishing, finishing, measurement, inspection and quality control of surfaces.
Meticulous design and structural optimisation assisted by a digital twin made it possible to
develop a machine that combines force and robustness for roughing phases with speed and
precision for superfinishing operations.
Multitasking to combine milling and turning
Breton Flymill E1 in the MT (Mill Turn) version can also operate as a vertical turning centre. All these features are possible thanks to the use of a quick heads coupling/release system (up to 600 Nm in 3 axes), which allows fast and automatic changeover of the A milling axis,
replacing it with a vertical turning head.
This solution, combined with the high performance (torque and hydrostatic) turning tables manufactured by Breton, guarantees superior milling and turning capabilities in a single versatile solution.
Installation and operating costs reduced to the minimum
Using an advanced lubrication system not only results in the elimination of dirt, workpiece
staining, and harmful mists, it also slashes maintenance and running costs.
