The Y-12E is a twin-engine turboprop STOL general-purpose aircraft, an improved version of the proven Y12-IV aircraft. The aircraft is a high-wing monoplane with a single tail and non-retractable, tricycle landing gear. It is certified by Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and Federal Aviation Administration of the United States (FAA). The Y-12E can perform cargo and passenger transport. It can also be modified for parachute jumping, air dropping, maritime survey, aerial photography, geological survey, forestry seeding, air ambulance, sightseeing and etc. It can take-off and land on unprepared airstrips, grass and sandstone runways.
