A convenient protective cover that prevents potential damage to ice detector sensors during maintenance and servicing. This cover will protect maintenance personnel from burns due to a heated probe. The ID400 is made of light-weight aluminum with a heat and flame-resistant foam cushion on the inside. It can be installed using existing Boeing tool P/N A-10002-1 and ME65B40136-1. All covers come with a high visibility, self-storing warning streamer. Our cover is Boeing approved for installation on ice detectors mounted on the 737, 747, 757, 767 and the 777.
