For over a decade, experienced users of Additive Manufacturing, MIM, HIP, and Coating technologies have trusted AP&C’s Ti-6Al-4V powders to build high-quality components for the Aerospace, Biomedical, and Industrial markets; because,high-quality components begin with high-quality powders.
AP&C’s Ti-6Al-4V powders are manufactured using the proprietary APATM Plasma Atomization process, producing powders with the ideal characteristics for any application, including Additive Manufacturing. These highly spherical powders contain virtually no entrapped porosities. Additionally, they possess minimal satellite content, resulting in truly exceptional flowability and packing density.
High purity titanium: Ti-6Al-4V grade 5
Powder chemistry may comply with standards: ASTM B348, ASTM F136, ASTM F1580, ASTM F2924, ASTM F3001, AMS 1498
Typical particle size distributions (PSD): 0-20 μm, 15-45 μm, 15-63 μm, 45-106 μm, 45-150 μm, 106-180 μm
Ti-6AI-4V Grade 5
Particle size distribution is measured by laser diffraction as per ASTM B822. Due to the high sphericity and very low satellites present on AP&C powder, the particle size distribution is highly uniform and the D10, D50 and D90 meet and exceed the industry requirements with an exceptional batch to batch reliability. The typical powder atomization yield ranges from 0-150 µm, after atomization, the powder is sieved according customer specifications.
