Options available: Plates cut (sawed or milled) to final length and width; ink jet continuous marking according to Aluminium Association Standards, ASTM or as per customer request, marked by labelling or stenciling; neutral paper interleaved; other requirements according to relevant quality standards. Plates from 5083, 5754, 5052 alloys may be delivered with Bureau Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd or Det Norske Veritas certificates, produced according to their respective rules Packaging and delivery Packaging and delivery options available: Wooden pallets; tightly bound with steel / PVC straps; waterproof packing with thermo-shrinkable polyethylene and silica gel (desiccant); plates with interleaved neutral paper; protection with corrugated cardboard and edge protections. PVC protective coating A thin film of protective PVC coating is available upon request. Coating available on one or both sides. Coating thickness: 70 µm. See through and blue color available. Special Requests Half commercial tolerances on thickness may be guaranteed upon request for whole thickness range, from 6.3 mm to 304.8 mm (from 0.25” to 12.0”). High Magnesium Aluminium Alloy plates (5083, 5086, 5456) may be delivered in H321 and H116 tempers for marine applications (shipbuilding, marine and offshore) and similar environments Plates with a maximum thickness of 150 mm (6.0”) may be delivered in mill finish or with brushed surface on both sides. Depending on quantities and required technical conditions, plates of other sizes may be delivered.
